SHORT HISTORY OF THE CELEBRATION OF THE CANINE

PS: From the earliest of times, humans from all over the globe have been showing off their love of man's best friend ... domesticated dogs were honored members of society in ancient Egypt and their birth was celebrated second only to that of a son.

As early as 2000 b.c., the Pekinese was worshipped in the temples of China These dogs were carried in ornate jade doghouses and attended all Imperial celebrations.

In Tibet, Lhasa Apso dogs were nurtured by the dalai lamas and were considered holy.

During the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, elegant women began to carry their small dogs with them everywhere. Specialized groomers, called "demoiselles" were responsible for making dogs presentable to "go out"

Of course, you need not be a celebrity or diplomat to pamper your pet. Five years ago, We decided to celebrate the unique bond between human and canine… we threw a huge party for Punkin, my adorable Papillon. We ended up taking South Beach by storm.

"Doggie music" wafted in the background, we played old-fashioned games as well as brand new "puppy shenanigans". Invitees and "party crashers" enjoyed the interaction of adult, children and animals - not to mention the delicious fare that was offered for all dogs, children and adult friends alike. We had the bash of the century and I found myself with more and more requests to provide these celebrations for every affair under the sun. It became the "in thing" to do. These events, which brought so much happiness to both dog and their human counterparts made us decide to launch "Posh Puppy Party LLC".

The business took South Beach by storm and left smiles and doggie good will everywhere. We're opening a new location in Fairfield Connecticut to further spread the celebration of the bond between humans and dogs. We're sure all will enjoy the party fun - bring the kids, the adults and all the pooches you want!
